Intel set to release two new quad core CPU's in Q3 2008

Its been reported that Intel are set to release two new 45nm Yorkfield based quad core CPU's to their line up in Q3 this year.

tbh Q9650 > Q9550 > Q9450 >= Q6600 > Q9400 > Q9300

Hmmm not quite... The Q9650 would murder the Q6600 as would the Q9550 the Q9400.

isnt that what i wrote? :S Q9650 is greater than Q9550, Q9550 is greater than Q9450, Q9450 is greater or equal to Q6600, Q6600 is greater than Q9400 and etc

should really stop confusing people, with my maths geekness

Ahh na now you explain it I see but what it looks like at first glance is that your saying:

Q9650 > Q9550 > Q9450 are equivalent to Q6600 > Q9400 > Q9300

I don't know why anyone would want one of these due to nehalem being round the corner... One of those q6700's at a super cheap price would be nice to play with though.

Not like there`s a need for one, but it makes more money to come out with one.

Nehalem is a new socket due... Is it Q1 2009 now?
