I actually really like this idea. Would be perfect for my backup rig, as its not got optical out that goes to my amp.

Also would be great for demo PCs in PCworld and stuff

I'm not a genoious, but does speakers like that generate magnetic fields. Would it muck about with the hard drives?

I would have thought they have been shielded.
