AMD Delivers First Stream Processor with Double Precision Floating Point Technology

US$1999 is such a small price to pay for computational power of this magnitude!

Could this be the answer to their prayers? Well it'll provide a well needed boost in profit

Pretty professional cards based on this sort of tech, but there`s always off-spring and other tech that can come from it.

The only real thing that`s of the utmost importance, that they`ve failed to address here - how fast does it do a WU !

Great tech, supprized @ $1999 ~£1000, thought they`d come out for more. Wonder if they can be directly swapped for the likes of the nVidia Quadro range, they`re pretty mean cards.

oooo this is good news

ive often though AMD should retract into heavy commercial chip production such as this (and sell ATI) and build up funds until the time is right for one badass re-entry into the home processor market
