Kingston unveils ultra low-latency DDR3 memory modules

With those timings and that high frequency, the new HyperX modules are certainly appealing, if not expensive. Hopefully it won't be too long before DDR3 becomes affordable.

Buying l8r on in the year for myself - I`d have to seriously consider DDR3 capable boards. Saying that, ddr2 is being pushed and pushed, and will go down in price still further I`m sure.

DDR2 will go down in price, and up in performance, at the point, where you have a choise of DDR2 @ 1200MHz @ 5-5-5-15

or DDR3 @ 1200MHz @ 5-5-5-15 at virtually the same price, thats the time to switch imo

Kinda... Word on the street (lol) is that DDR2 prices are set to rise again. Once manufacturers stop/cut down production of DDR2 it will become more expensive.

At the same time output of DDR3 increases the price will drop, thus reducing the price and therefore making DDR2 less attractive.

I've already started to see DDR2 price rise. I have been checking everyday for the last few weeks (waiting for the G0 stepping lol)... A lot of 2gb kits have risen about 20-30% over the last few weeks.
