Philips launches world’s first one-terabyte external hard drive

Philips has announced that it has broken the one-terabyte storage barrier with the launch of the SPD5130 external hard drive.

Think I`m having a bit of a brain fart.

Thing I missing is purchasing an empty external caddie, ala IceBox effortish, and stick u`r own internal drive in it.

Or is it the fact this is off-the-shelf 1TB ?

Hitachi also broke the 1TB external HD...

formatted a 320Gb drive last night and had time to spare making dinner whilst it was going on.

formatting 1Tb - you could probably go on holiday and be back in time to see the 100% bar.
