Leaked Nvidia roadmap suggests 2025 release for their GeForce RTX 50 series

Well, I guess Nvidia finally found their "We can not remain in business as only a gaming GPU company" thing. Oddly it did not even require them to buy any other companies, having failed at that many times over the years.

So I guess gaming is now the ginger step child of their business, as they are certainly treating it like one.

This is the thanks Fanboys got for 25 years of rimming them, and it is a just reward I suppose.

It's surprising, but i expect they would change their minds fast if rdna4 comes far sooner, one thing most people know is nvidia hate being 2nd best and so i can't see that mindset changing we'll see.

However if amd advance more on the chiplet side i think nvidia is going to have a harder time as by the sounds of it the 5k series is going to be a tweaked refresh, meaning they do not have chiplet in the works like tbh i'd have expected.

All depends on if Intel or AMD come up trumps with stuff as they both seem in my view to be ahead on that front in a bigger way than i expected, in all honesty both Intel and AMD if they can and want to compete fully are able to leave nvidia behind as they really should have been on the chiplet train at this stage and as they aren't it's not looking good.

Still just like crypto they love AI so much, expect higher prices regardless and in truth it sounds like 5k series is just going to be the same ark on a node shrink and so it's going to be next to no improvement and cost a ton, milk them buyers while you can seems to be all they care about.

I don't think RDNA4 will be out in any meaningful way (impacting Nvidia) before 5000 series. When Nvidia will release an overpriced card, that's when AMD will do the same thing and charge 5% less with fewer features.

I reckon 4080 Ti around September this year with 20GB memory, The full fat AD102 chip around March/April next year either making a return as the Titan or called the 4090 Ti and then 5000 series around September or October 2024.

I can't see Nvidia letting AMD get 1-2 quarters head start on sales.
