Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB, why has it not been detected?
Hi everyone iv just finished building my first rig and my Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB doesn't seem to have been detected.
Could anyone give me any advice as to why this has happened?
When I'm in bios it has detected the Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB and my Corsair 120GB Force Series 3 SSD, I decided to boot windows 7 from the SSD could this be why the WD 1TB HDD is not being detected?

Have you formatted the drive yet? If not right click computer, manage and then disk management and you should see it in there

does the HDD appear in the list of attached devices at the start of the BIOS pre-boot details?
if it does, then it needs to be assigned a drive letter, via disk management.
