1St Delide Ever 8700k
]Well As the title says this is my first delide every as you all know the 8700k's can get rather toastie i've had this Cpu since last summer and been getting temp's excess of 84c on full load Cinebench prime95 .26.6 real bench Eg well i finally got fed up with it
and delided the Cpu i have now dropped 16c roughly of the max temps on full load.

I can understand your reasoning for delidding... Yet, as watched several videos on the CPU in question and the 9900K, delidds etc. Sure, the temps drops significantly in benchmarks etc. But at the end of the day, those kind of loads will never really be the case on a daily basis. As games will never come close to those kind of loads and therefore heat/temps etc.
This and the fact that you just threw your warranty out of the window, IF it would break cause of the delid in a short period of time. Since you void your warranty by doing this.

It's all good i accept that if it break i will just need to buy a new one or use the situation to upgrade.

Yeah and upgrade you mean the 9900K? Cause that one both cost more and runs hotter than the 8700K

Sounds like a good plan you’ve planned out for yourself  Anyway, hope your current 8700K keeps on going and that you’ll get some nice temps out of the delid

I've only just delidded my 6600k so was out of warranty anyway and wish I had done it much much sooner. My temps dropped by over 20 degrees under load it was insane
