8700k Temp Thoughts

Hi guys i'm looking for your thoughts on the temps 5ghz 8700k roughly 20 mins in on prime96 V26.6 none Avx
Corsair h115i cooling

Well considering you haven't mentioned the temps, I'm assuming you want us to give you an idea of what it is? (which will be rather difficult)... Despite that, you haven't mentioned what cooling solution nor what components you are using either.

Looking at those temps 82c peak doesn't look so bad for 5ghz I'm am guessing it has not been de lidded?

yea Eddie it's not been delided yet avg temps 70's max lowers 80's 3.12V

I'm with Eddie here, considering this 82c peak temp is when your basically smashing the CPU to it's fullest, which is a load you'll basically never do on a daily basis, I'd say you're fine.

Those temps seem fine to me Zan i'm on a 4790K and hit high 70's with a custom loop

That's pretty good actually for avx assuming no offset.

Al buddy, might wanna repaste with my 4790K at 4.6Ghz I barely see 62c full load on the H100i V2, only during the height of last summer did I see mid 70s.
