My current hardware as it stands which would be transplanted into the case:

CPU - Intel i5 4440
GPU - Asus GTX 750 Ti
Mobo - Asus H97 Pro-Gamer
RAM - 8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum
PSU - Corsair CS650M
SSD - Corsair Force LX 256GB
HDD - WD 500GB Black
Silverstone White Cable Extensions.

Firstly I'd be honored to be considered for one of these bundles and whole heartedly thank TTL, OC3D and Fractal for the opportunity.

My idea for the Define S would be focusing on uber cable management and pure unrestricted airflow, while giving the exterior and interior that sleek stealth feel, now with the interior already being roomy and clean I would pretty much keep it that way for a full loop at a later date or space to expand the Kelvin S24 into a full loop to include the GPU.

The cable management:

Cable management would be taken care of mainly by the interior panels which are designed to hide the main cables I'll also be using E22 stealth cable combs to control the PCI-e cables to keep them snug and flush as they follow around the back edge of the GPU and out the same way as the 24 pin ATX lead, the idea for hiding the cables away is to give a clean look and to maximise airflow.

The Interior:

This interior has been a plan of mine for some time now and I'm aching to get it done, my original plan was to do this with my current case the Corsair 450D using a mixture of Acrylic sheet and hard foam. Unfortunately the price of a sheet acrylic is diabolical in the UK so new medium had to be looked into and sourced, the answer to this was so simple I can't believe no one has even tried and it doesn't cost the earth to do so for all you guys out there who claim you can't afford a swanky show off rig keep looking. The plan is to use a 12 x 12mm pine strip wood to build a frame, which would be cut to size and use groove joints for structural strength. Three of these frames will be required to house all the appropriate areas and complete the interior, PSU cover, Front fan housing & back panel, all these frames will be secured and would also be removable via press fittings the very same fittings you'll find on speaker grille covers.

Once the frames are all assembled and fit flush and securely into place they will then be coated in black paint and wrapped in vinyl, but not the Di-Noc vinyl you are thinking of. This is upholstery vinyl when tacked and firmly wrapped in place will finish the panels in a sleek stealthy finish. As a bonus to using this medium should I decide later I want a change of colour it's as easy as picking off and replacing.

All this interior styling is to be lit with subtle white LED strips located behind the side panel edges.

The Exterior:

While the Define S is a fantastic case and already looks the part, it just needs that extra personal touch, the front panel would be covered with the same upholstery vinyl as the interior as well as a new smoothed angular roof panel which would stand on six chrome risers allowing air to escape and adding a tidy under glow from a white LED lighting strip, this lighting would also continue on the exterior to flow along the bottom of the case.

In summary I'm aiming for a sleek style perfecting personally on a superbly designed Fractal case and creating a clean frame for my hardware to shine.

I thank you for your time and again would like to thank Fractal and TinyTomLogan for this opportunity.

A Subtle Yet Sincere Mod

Let me start off by first saying that I am honored just to be remotely considered for this competition.

My plans for modding this kit would be as follows: paint, LED's, Cable Management, SSD Mounts, and some subtle graphics. As the title says, these would all be subtle mods as my modding skills are not fully developed.

The Transplant List
Intel i5 4690k
AsRock Z97 PRO4
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2133mHz 2x4GB (Red) my Achilles heel
Corsair CX750M
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
2x 500GB HDDs
Cooler Master Sickleflow Blue LED fans

I plan on adding some custom paint to this case to match my current components. Since my components consist of a main mix of blue and light blue, I intend to add some blue and light blue accents to the interior of the case. Likewise, I intend to accent the exterior by painting the sides of the front vents a deep blue. I feel the blue accents would compliment my components and custom sleeved cables well. Lastly I would paint the brackets and radiator edges of the S24 and Kelvin fans a blue and white mix. Depending on how well the paint would adhere to the exterior or how well I feel it looks after I paint it, I may decide to go for a vinyl wrap instead, as those tend to be cleaner, better adhering to any material, more durable, and more customizing friendly for us let artistically inclined.

Some examples of paint work I have done in the past:

Similar to what I have previously done in my current case, I plan to mod the front panel LED(s) to either a blue or white so they flow nicely with the overall theme of the build. I would also add interior lighting, most likely white, to vibrantly showcase the interior hardware and compliment the blue LED from my current fans.

A front panel LED swap I did on my current rig:

Cable Management
What is the point of spending hours sleeving cables if you're going to leave them all balled up in a rat's nest of cables? I plan to very meticulously manage the cables in this build utilizing every inch of space to ensure no cables are seen where they are not meant to be. Good cable management would also allow my subtle paint accents to be visible through the side panel window, and help lessen airflow restriction.

My Current Cable Management:

Subtle Decals
While I have never owned a case that was good for putting decal art on, I have always wanted to add my own flare with decals. I would have several custom decal made in a deep deep blue so they would pop if you look at them, but not take away from the beauty of the rest of the chassis. The decals would showcase the name of the build, 'Project Enforcer', and potentially some sick artwork that showcases my love for firefighting and somehow incorporate it into the build.

SSD And HDD Mount
I am constantly seeing cases coming out with 'stealth' SSD mounting behind the motherboard. I for one find that counter-productive because I am proud of my SSD and want to show it off. My plan would be to create an acrylic or plexi-glass mount, that I can affix my SSD to and mount it to the case. Then behind the mount I will add blue LED's to create a halo type effect behind the SSD. I will also add similar mounts for the HDD's. The mounts would be similar to those pictured below, without the UV effect. In my current build I fabricated a bracket out of left of side panel from where I cut the window out. I made the bracket so that it spanned the gap left where I pulled on the the hard drive cages out. Mistakes were made when cutting the bracket so it isn't perfect, But I intend to clear these mistakes when I make the mounts for the Define S.

I tried to showcase my modding work in the pictures, but if you see something you want to see more in depth, or don't see something you want to, please feel free to ask, more pictures are available upon request.

In closing, though I am not a pro modder, I put forth my best effort when it comes to making my case 'mine' and intend to put forth this same effort with this kit. I want to again thank you for considering me for this competition and thank you for taking the time to read this.
