AMD releases a beta GPU driver for Windows 10's Fall Creators Update

I'd actually like to see these changes or additions to Windows Game Mode, Could be exciting :)

EDIT

According to a Microsoft person the new Game Mode allows more access to the hardware -

The fuel that often inspires creativity is play. With the Fall Creators Update, we’ve updated Game Mode, which allows your games to use the full processing power of your device as if it was an Xbox game console, right from a new button on the Game bar. And to take advantage of this power, we have a fantastic lineup of Xbox Play Anywhere games coming including, Cuphead, Forza Motorsport 7, Super Lucky’s Tale and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

Nice find! Definitely sounds like MS is trying to improve the PC Gaming experience. They've done little since trying to recommit to gaming.
Would love to see some benchmarrks if it benefits Shadow of War

I have noticed something annoying with this new Creators Update driver, The displays Hz drops down to the minimum Freesync range, In the case of my monitor it's 40Hz, If I keep the monitors OSD open I can see the Hz change from 144 to 40, Makes the mouse feel very sluggish, It goes away during games etc... but when just using the mouse on the desktop or webpages it's not a nice experience, The moment I switch Freesync off it goes away and stays at 144Hz, I hope this gets fixed as having a ghosting mouse and sluggish desktop aint a good experience.

Wait what?! You're on AMD now? Oh my I can't keep up Dice. ^_^

You also have a Gsync?

No I sold my ROG Swift, I found I was sitting at a distance that best suited a 24inch monitor so went with a 24" 1080P 144Hz Freesync monitor, Also makes everything super easy to run with stupid high FPS ^_^

I went with Freesync over G-Sync as after A LOT of blind testing I couldn't actually tell the difference between Fast-Sync and G-Sync so I got the Asus MG248QR which gave me a nice chunk of money left over after the purchase.

When using the 1080 Ti I simply use Nvidia Fast-Sync and when AMD I use Freesync, Works out nicely :)

Same aesthetic as a ROG Swift minus the flashy light, G-Sync module, At 24" instead of 27" and 1080P instead of 1440P, As I heavily use VR now 1080P really is all I need.

A convert ! :D

Adaptive is pretty much the same, so long as you are happy to be capped at the refresh of your monitor. Hopefully Gsync will go away some day soon.

Hopefully Freesync and Gsync disappear. Freesync is not exactly "free" it might be open source but still comes with a premium.

I don't believe so. You should download it manually to get on the newest build. I haven't done so yet. I'm waiting for people to use it first to see if any bugs or glitches happen.
Follow Mark's guide:)

weirdly... I followed the guide and the upgrade assistant said that I'm already on the latest... I guess I have to download the creator's update iso and force an inplace install...

Yeah I am sure that if AMD and Nvidia pushed themselves they could make stuff like AVS and Fastsync even better.

This is a GPU issue, IMO, and should be resolved at the sodding GPU end !

That said Adaptive does everything I need it to do, so I just hope Nvidia do not stop supporting it. I will be very annoyed if they do.

AMD now have their own version of Fast-Sync, Enhanced Sync, Does exactly the same thing, Uncapped frame rate but no tearing.

G-Sync and Freesync are quickly becoming useless with AMD's Enhanced Sync and Nvidias Fast-Sync.
