While I'd give my right arm to have one of these on my bench table, IMO there's just too much crap on there for a 24/7 board.

Kudos to Asus for targeting the extreme community again, but I expect the lesser of the range will end up more practical.

So what chipset does it use? It only says "the latest Intel chipset", does that mean the x58?

Yep, your right with X58 (I expect). 3 ram slots gives it away.

While I'd like one along with a Core i7 CPU (merely to run Linux on 8 threads), I've spent waaay too much money on computer hardware in the last 2 years to justify shelling out again...
