HD 7950 crossfire issues

Hi guys,

Basically a few days ago, my second xfx 7950 arrived, set it all up and was expecting a massive performance boost.

I launched BF4 and immediately was getting terrible frame rates, performance is actually better with crossfire disabled. ( i do understand bf4 is new and may not support crossfire fully yet) although i dont see a huge increase in BF3 either..

people on the battlelog forum have suggested things like unparking cores, which i have done, but id love to see your opinions, because im kinda scared!

FX-6100 @4GHz
8GB vengeance 1600
2 HD-7950's @925/1250
990fx extreme 3
cx 750 psu

so you crossfired with a bulldozer...

do you have the latest amd beta drivers? they help a lot with crossfire in bf4.

yeah i have 13.11 beta 8, the latest if im not mistaken..

well i just ran the bioshock infinite fps benchmark and got min-9.92 max-312.92 avg-99.18 on high settings, i guess that means its performing very well.. im going to run the test without xfire and see how it performs then..

*edit*

due to instability i switched to using the hitman absolution benchmark

no xfire: min-37.7, max- 82, avg - 50
xfire: min-36.8, max- 54.5, avg - 44.9 both gpu's around 20% utilisation..


this is quite concerning..

its a weak cpu even for a single card
