Which one? :P
I'm guessing you're talking about their custom cooled one?

If you want a 290 I'd look at Powercolor and club 3d as well.

My suppliers don't carry powercolor and I have never seen club 3d in Australia, so it leaves me to choose between Asus, MSI, or XFX so I thought the way to go would be MSI

Yeah I'd go that way as well. The XFX cards are really hit and miss (but look really nice imo). The ASUS ones are probably the most solid warranty wise but they also can be pretty poor performing on occasion, its almost a 50-50 split whether you'll get a decent on or a crap one. Some reviewers claim the ASUS DCUII does 75c (uber mode, which is 50-60% fan speed) while others claim 90. The MSI one tops out around 85c, so its no Tri-x card. The MSI lightning is the coolest running of them all however it costs alot.

How much space will there be between the cards? I also imagine that as those cards jsut chuck the heat out everywhere you need a very decent fan setup.
