Talking Newbie Project Upgrade 2014

So i'm thinking it's time to update my rig a little and make it all look pretty and a hell of a lot more powerful!!

My current specs are as follows;

Gigabyte 990FXA UD3
AMD FX 8320
8GB Corsair Vengeance
MSI 7850 1GB
Corsair GS800
Samsung Evo 120GB SSD
Corsair 230T

I'm thinking of keeping the Motherboard, CPU and RAM and upgrading everything else. I want to go for a White/Black theme potentially with a water cooling loop and am new at this so was hoping for your guys opinions on what to do/get

If you're changing the case you should try something in the 450D

Get a aftermarket cooler if you don't have one. Maybe pick up a 780 reference card as well. If money is tight get a 770/280x.

Definitely changing the case, was looking at something a bit bigger than the 450D, maybe the Phantom 820 or 750D?

The 450D should be okay, look at some reviews and see for yourself, if not I'd go with a 760t or maybe an NZXT H440, I doubt you'll need the full space in the 750D or especially the Phantom 820 unless you are running a big loop with 3 cards. Plus the cases I've mentioned have loads of watercooling potential.

I'm considering one of these three cases for the summer

Before we can help you out what exactly are you going to watercool? What's your budget?

Though IMO for the case -depending on your needs- the H440 should be considered with a white/black theme in mind.
