Ok so I just got a good offer for the gtx 970 from EVGA. Two things: 1. Is it good? 2. Is the RM 550W PSU sufficient?
Thanks in advance!

Yes it is, a 290x/390x is faster though. I'd check to see if the prices are close enough to the offer they gave you. But yes 550watt is enough

I recently went from a 770 to a 970 and man, I love it! It's so much faster, better and way smoother! I can definitely recommend it!

CPU: Intel Core I7 2600k 3,4Ghz
GPU: Ati Radeon HD 6450 1GB
RAM: 8GB
Mainboard: Asrock z68 extreme3 gen3
PSU: BeQuiet Straight Power E9 400W
Windows 7 64Bit

Currently I am very interested in the MSI GTX 970 4GB Gaming. Sure thing is, that I will need a new PSU. Wich one would you recommend? I wouldn't want it to cost any more than 100€. Does the rest of the setup fit the requirements? Also I am not so sure about the GTX 970, with its VRAM problems. Should I go for it anyway, or should I perhaps even wait for the upcoming AMD cards?

Thanks in advance for your answers :-)
PSU should be fine. My work rig has an MSI GTX 970 and a terrible stock 400W PSU and it's never blue screened, even when running things like Elite Dangerous or Unreal Engine 4 and Oculus Rift. Though down the road I think bumping it up to a 600W would make sense as then you could start to OC, one of the best features of the Maxwell chip.
