Mylar in silver would look perfect i think. Just not sure whether the braid is thick enough. Wouldn't want the cable color to show through!

Progress Report 2

Progress Report 2

Just got some more stuff for my build today and most excitingly got my CPU waterblock!

Here is the 200mm Spectre PRO with white LED. This will be going into the front of the case to supply a quite but yet copious amount of air flow into the case. Also to light up the pump and res area slightly.

The 120mm Spectre PRO with white LED. This will vent hot air from motherboard out the back of the case. Also providing subtle lighting for the motherboard.

A short 15cm SATA cable to connect to the SSD on the PSU backpanel. I will be sleeving it either a golden or silver color.

Two silver pre-sleeved molex fan connectors to connect upto 3 fans each.
With free bag of Hariobo tangy sweets . Courtesy of OverclockersUK "SUGARRUSH"!!!

And the peace de la resistance. The EK-Supremacy Elite - Full nickel waterblock

I know its overkill for a i5 but i think it will look great!

That waterblock isn't overkill for an i5 mate
There is no overkill waterblock for an i5. It's like an i7 without hyperthreading

That's basically what it is. Just a binned i7 with slightly less prowess.

Edit: That sounded like it came off harsh (especially since I'm a new member). It was more of an reuse what you can kinda thing :P

Just some pics to show how my front and rear fans look in the case:

My camera-phone doesn't show the light from the fans very well. With the naked eye they look brilliant white. I'll try get some night shots of the light.

Hi (SS) Stu, your build looks great so far . I think the black and silver color scheme will look great in that case . The silver mylar braiding on all the cable would look epic. Have you decided what rad your putting in the roof ? And are you going to watercool you video card ? I know that pretty much depends on whether your going to wait on the new cards come out . Your idea will look great when your done.
