i9-10900X benchmarks leak - Intel's next 10-core monster!

I feel hugely underwhelmed by this leak.
2920x 12 core 24 thread, 4.3 boost, 32mb cache and just over £550 atm.
Have I missed something? New TR4 skus are about to drop and I expect these to be a worthy upgrade to second gen let alone these. How aggressive are they planning on being with their pricing?

They say they are going to be 75-109% better value than their last-gen offerings. The long and short of it is that Intel is lowering its prices for their new SKUs.

With AMD offering 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X for $750, Intel needs lower X299 prices.

Yer.....dont expect lower prices Intel will be like "we are 75% faster in paint! so we are the best!" allso 14nm++++++++++++++++++++++ZZZZZZZZZZ.

x299 lmfao

I thought x570 boards were expensive. Found 1 for less than £200 We haven't seen 7nm EPYC yet either this is going to be interesting year to come. I'll be rooting for them next year though even if they just give Nvidia a little scare =00=

I mean X570 board are justifiably expensive, they need to be capable of running a 16 core at up to 4.7 Ghz!

But these X299 chips are boring as hell.

9980XE is 18 cores at 165W with 4.5GHz boost, and Intel is quite optimistic with their TDP.

That's not the reason for expenses, with X299 it's about quad channel memory and PCI-E lanes. In the case of X570 it's mostly about PCI-E 4.0 as otherwise it's a pretty normal consumer platform.

But at least AMD allows you to run a lower end chipset for a more sensible setup.
