Back to AMD after 7 years with Intel

7 years is an extremely long time in the computer industry but that's how long I had my Intel based system
It was with a heavy heart I had to retire my 3930K
there was nothing wrong with it, but the Asus Rampage 1V Formula motherboard it was plugged into was causing intermittent problems of not posting, random freezes and switching from bios 1 to 2
Even though it was 7 years old, it still ran my games at ultra on all settings
I run a 2 monitor setup, 1 @ 2560 x 1440 for my main and 1920 X 1080 for my secondary
With 16 Gb of DDR3 RAM the only thing that was getting close to max was the video card.

I was on a very tight budget so I did a bit of googling and the Ryzen 5 3600X came in as top of the pops for a budget gaming build in 2019
An ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard with 16Gb of G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3200 nicely rounded off some RGB
A Corsair 850 watt modular for the power
and an EK velocity water block for some cooling goodness
I searched for hours to figure out a case, finalized on a Lian Li O11 Dynamic
I re-used my 2 radiators, pump and res and fans from my old build
Also re-using my Gigabyte GTX 1080

I really enjoyed using this case, it had plenty of room for cable management in the back

I also re-used my vertical GPU bracket, which fitted perfectly

Leak testing

added a white LED strip

also re-used my water temp gauge

thank you
dust is ok so far
I have added a couple of fans on the base for more airflow and there is a filter there so dust is at a minimum

Finished it up today, I purposely went for a clean and understated.

Core Specs, R9 3900X, Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master and a 2080 FE; principally it's a home workstation be it with some gaming credentials.

I've used a somewhat modded Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic, I'm really pleased with the new look.

Just a hint of UV, I'm not big on RGB.
