More opinions

Three of these.

Or this.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Electriq-Fr...6352125&sr=8-3

Noting two things. 1. I don't care about the refresh, it's higher on the Asus than what I have now and it's never bothered me and 2. I don't care about the response time as the Asus is 5ms and what I have now is 7 and again, it's never bothered me.

With the stand they both come in at exactly the same price. Am I correct in thinking the three 24" would give me a much wider screen?

3 x 24 will give roughly 70" of real estate although you will have to put up with bezels.

I changed my mind at the last minute. Got an Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ.

27" 1080p 144hz curved. It fully supports Gsync adaptive sync and resolution isn't a big issue because it's all done internally now any way.

I've had my HP for years now. At least 3, possibly going on as much as 5. I was also worried about any kind of wide screen res, as most of the games I play a lot don't support it at all. Would have been awesome for racing games but not really that much else.

Now I just have to hope it works 100%, because it was in Amazon warehouse for £303. Listed as "Very good" which should mean like new. Either way I will give it a ruddy good testing.

I would really go for the ultrawide at this point, it is just so much neater, less cable management and less wasted desk space.

As for resolution, yeah 3x 1920 is more pixels but having 1440p in height is a great thing to have in my opinion, and no bezels.

I did a total U turn like I did with the PC and got this man.

I'm really not bothered about the monitor's resolution these days. Windows scaling is superb now, and nearly all games can be driven up internally or will do so on their own without even touching anything. Resolution is nowhere near as important now.

I just fancied something new. My HP is 3-5 years old and was never a great screen even then. The freesync/AVS was terrible on it then. IIRC it only supports it at under 40 FPS, but the monitor is OC to 70hz. meaning anything between is dire. It didn't bother me much because FO4 mainly ran at 70 any way, but yeah dips were horrible.

Which was the issue with multiple/UW. FO games don't support it, neither do most of what I play. So it would have been an extravagance for racing games only.

Which when common sense kicks in it's hard to push the button

Now you have to worry about dead pixels. Like the rest of us.

Such is true with any monitor really. My first HP had a big gouge in the screen lol.

Once you get into the high-refresh sphere, it's impossible to go back. Knock on wood, I've had good luck with dead pixels, as I don't have any on the 5 screens that I own.

I'm not a huge fan of it really dude. I have the 24" 240hz Alienware, and the only big difference is in Doom and Eternal. However, both are not really my sort of games.

That said I did play through the entirety of HL2 recently and I didn't die in combat once (until the white forest bit which I hate in Ep 2).

I'm hoping Dice sent it back because of a small amount of BLB I can live with that lol.

Lolz

Glad you got a bargain but for me personally 1080P is for 24" desk monitors, Anything bigger and it has to be 1440P.
