These used to be one of the only neutral coloured radiator fans that were worth their salt, but nowadays there are plenty of good options.

Agreed. I had 6(2 broke) and after getting the new Noctua 120mm fans they are no longer worth the money. Noctua simply pushes more air at a more quiet level. I saw temp drops on my AIO after switching.

Doesn't automatically mean it was the fans, could be a number of different things.

In Canada, we can already get these from Daz, he commissioned a pile of em under his 'Darkside' brand. Last batch I bought 10 of em, 1850 RPM, PWM, black blades, for $18.50CDN each. As far as 'bang for buck' goes, they cannot be beat. You're only lacking RGB, but then again that's a headache that some of us don't miss, LOL!

Not complicated to do a simple temperature test with the only variable being simply swapping fans.

Still have both the gentle typhoons(D1225C12B7 AP-29) & the 38mm ultra kaze(DFS123812H-3000) from back in the day(always had long product numbers :P)...both approx 11-12 years old and still not a clicking sound(tested them recently, though not using them in current builds).

I sure hope they will be available in the UK. I still have 6x AP-15's that have been my main radiator fans for just over 8 years and are still nice and quiet and in constant daily use.

Much as I like the look of the Noctua NF-A12's, they are £30 a throw which is frankly obscenely expensive for what they are. My Gentle typhoons cost £9.98 + VAT in 2013 so I'd expect them to be around £15-18 now, but bet they will probably cost more.

If you need rad fans, check out Arctic's P14 fans.

I filled my server with P14's last year as they do appear to be the current king on value. (I got 6x for the price of 1x Noctua A12)

We'll see how long they last as my server runs 24/7 in conditions that aren't ideal.
