so moving on with the build, i wasnt happy with how the bottom looked so empty, i dont like that the PSU is on show with all of the horrid cables. so i have come up with a base plate to go over the top. it lies flush with the back of the case and has room for cables and the DVI cable which is plugged into my GPU which it also lies pretty flush with. so it will split up my front panel, which i think will look pretty good with a white break in between it. to easily gain acsess to the lower part of the case this base plate wont be screwed down but lying on top of braces instead which will be attached to the walls underneath.
underneath the base plate ill have 4 fans cooling down the PSU and my Hard drives/SSD. two will be pulling cool air in and two will be pushing hot air out. all on the front panel.
i really like how this build is coming along and i am really lookng forward to finishing it.

New base board/plate whatever you want to call it, sanded, painted and cut to fit around the base of my GPU and MoBo cables very nicely. The gap underneath is just tge right size to house 4 120mm case fans. The front panel will be cut at 120mm from the bottom to make a front panel for the bottom part and it wont be glued down, just incase i need to get into the psu.

Talking

so this is it, this is pretty much what the end result will come to, there is a few bits of paint that need touching up but other than that the building work is pretty much done! i have a few bits coming in the post soon and once i have them ill be able to boot it up and hopefully it will actually post.

the base of the case is 120mm high, as i said in previous posts ill be getting 4 120mm ans, but youll only be able to see half of them. the idea is that thyre going to be glowing anyway so it will give off a pretty cool effect through the panel. aswell as that the LEDs behind the MOBO will be shining through the top half, so it will look pretty good i hope.

x4 case fans<<

New stuff! Yay!

So there is x2 140mm fans going in the side panel. Got my new arctic thermal paste and behind that a PCIe ribbon to attach to my GPU

Talking It boots!

Looks great, not expected to see it work so well. One thing i dont like is the orange LEDs on the motherboard, i think i may tey and cover them with something so the red on.the left shines out more. Front fans look amazing coming through the black. Cant wait to get my 120mm ones for under the panel.

I like what you have done kudos for even attempting this and considering its hand crafted with wood I think you did a rather nice looking job.

Thanks very much, its very rewarding, especially when you buy the materials, its just two pieces of wood. Alot of time and effort has gone into it. Although its not 100% done. I tthink as it stands now it looks great. I just need a name
