Palit RTX 2080 Super Game Rock Review

Nice review. Silicon lottery aside, the only reason I could justify a more expensive card would be looks. And at nearly 20% cheaper than the strix super OC I think I could either live with that logo or cover it up.

Nothing wrong with Palit, had a few over the years and tbh Nvidia are so strict on their production criteria and QA that you'd be hard to find a badly made Nvidia card these days.

If I was on the lookout for a new card I would just buy the Jetstream version and flash the bios as I did with my 1080

I agree with the Nvidia restrictions. I believe the cheapness comes down to the quality of the manufacturing process. Plait may have less manufacturing restrictions that say Asus for example. There is a higher possibility that Plait cards would have 'defects' so to say, than Asus :).

Only what I believe though :)

Once again, what is up with these names? Now ”Game Rock”? Sounds like a rip off to ”Guitar Hero”, which the top text on the actual card actually looks like a rip off on the font used as well. Makes it look very childish and like a kids toy.

Gainward is more oriented to the Chinese market. Things function in a different way there.
