Palit experiences?

Anybody here had any experience with Palit 10 series cards, specifically the Jetstream/Super Jetstream? I'm looking at just picking up the 1070.

I've never built a system with an nvidia GPU so I'm not too familiar with brands like Palit and Zotac etc.

Just looking what people's experiences have been with the hardware, software and, if necessary, the CS/support.

I had a couple of 670 JS cards. They were kinda light and didn't feel too heavy to hold. Up close they looked a bit tacky, but, I gotta say they were fantastic. Well, up to about 80% fans. Then they made this odd whirring sound due to the blade design.

That said looking at the latest round of slop (Founders looks to be reasonable quality) none of them are really built like tanks now.

As far as CS dude? all the time we are in Europe the two year warranty and all CS is with the company who sold it to you. IDK if there is a way to even directly contact Palit, but many others follow this philosophy also. Just buy from a decent retailer, like OCUK. Wow, can't believe I just said that. Amazon are great also, but avoid Scan and Ebuyer (just IMO).

Ebuyer are the worst for after sales support, and Scan will treat you like you are trying to rip them off somehow. OCUK are fannytastic though, and Amazon well they're Amazon.

Tolemac and Bonkers Mental both have the Palit Jetstream GTX1080s and praise them highly.

Wish I'd had this advice a few days ago. I actually bought the B450 Tomahawk from OCUK in-store at the weekend and by the time I got home had changed my mind about it. Ordered the Gaming Pro Carbon from eBuyer because it wasn't in stock at OCUK, not knowing I'd also have to deal with the absolute clusterf*ck of Yodel too who already up to their old tricks of "couldn't deliver, left calling card" this morning. No sign they were ever here.
Seriously, who the hell still uses Yodel these days?!?

If I do go with the 1070 SJS it'll be from Amazon or OCUK looking at current pricing.
Trying hard to not have my head turned by "new" cards on the bay of e as well though.

Sounds promising. Hopefully they'll drop in with some of their opinions/experiences.

As @Wraith said I have the Palit 1080 Jetstream and it's still as solid as a rock I flashed the BIOS to a Super Jetstream. This is my 2nd Palit card the first was a GTS 450 Sonic. I have never had a problem with either and as I understand Palit have a hub here in the UK for RMA's etc. They are extremly well built cards and Gainward are their sister company

Yeah I ordered a £3500 PC from Ebuyer in parts and it was delivered by Yodel. Half of it was missing, and the boxes had Yodel tape on them saying they had been damaged.

Ended up following a trail up my hallway to find the fans and other small parts, then found the thermal paste in the gutter outside the next day when I went out.

Phoned Ebuyer who talked to me like I had spent £3.50. Never again.

What's the difference between the Jetstream and Super Jetstream BIOS as I thought it was just clock speeds?

I'd seen about Gainward, not a fan of the colour scheme on the Phoenix though.

It is just that buddy higher clock speeds . but the Super Jetstream costs more. If you look at both the Jetstream cooler and the Gainward Pheonix cooler you will find they are exactly the same just different colours. The EK waterblock for the Jetstream also fits the Gainward as they both have the same pcb.
