Angry Corsair M65 "malfunctioning"

Hi,

My Corsair M65 happened to not work over night. When I plug it in, a few different outcomes can be seen:

1. It is not recognised at all
2. It connects and disconnects in rapid succession
3. The blue light stays on but windows doesn't find it
4. The blue light flickers, eg on for 0.25s and off for 1s.
5. The blue light flashes on and off every 1s.

I have tried the mouse on different PCs same thing. Windows says it's malfunctioning. I can't reflash the firmware because the application says the mouse isn't recognised or it failed to update because it disconnects and reconnects again.

Any ideas on a fix? I don't really want to have to RMA.

Sorry to hear that Mat. I'm afraid that the only way to get it fixed is via RMA replacement.

One question though, when you tried to flash the FW, do you have the mouse plugged to a USB2.0 or 3.0?

USB 2.0, could you tell me what is the cause of the problem? A few questions about the RMA.

I live in the UK, do I have to pay postage?
Will I get a new or just refurbished mouse back?
How long does it take?
Do I need the original box?

Thanks, Mat

Sorry for the late response Mat.

Submit a ticket at Corsair.force.com and I'll see to it that we process the RMA accordingly.

You'll get a new unit when you process the RMA from us. How long have you had this mouse now?

Typically, between 7-10 business days. We don't really require the retail box when processing an RMA.

No worries, I submitted an RMA near the time of this post. The mouse is currently being shipped back to one of corsairs RMA locations.

Thanks for your help.
