Should I Go Back to a Dual Monitor Setup

Hello all,

First off sorry for the wall of text.

I'm thinking about changing my monitor setup again maybe this is stupid move cause i only brought one back in june of this year.

I thought getting a 32 inch monitor was going to be a really good idea but these passing months have taught me otherwise, I'm just not finding myself very productive with this larger monitor.

I think the reason why last time the dual monitor setup really didn't work was cause of the monitor stand, I'm currently using a normal monitor stand atm it's in the corner of this room and i think that's the reason why it didn't work, So i think getting a vertical stand would solve this issue.

I'm trying to get some ideas on what size monitors to go with and brand i was thinking about 2x27 inch monitors but i would like one of them to be gsync and the other just a normal monitor but there's 1 thing i would like from these monitors both must be 1440p, I really don't want to go back to 1080p.

The other question is should i just go with a 34 inch monitor, Just not sure what to do and are people still having problems with these 34 inch monitors like they did 12-24 months ago.

Sorry for the double post.

I have been thinking about this, TBH i think there's maybe 3 brands i'm considering Acer, ASUS & Dell not sure if there's any other brands should look at the only other one i guess would be LG.

I was watching TTL's review on the ASUS PG279Q a couple of weeks ago and i check the thread for it i'm not sure if it was that one or a different one where Tom said he would rather use 27 inch monitors over a 34 inch purely for productivity, I kinda want one until i saw the price and atm it's $1099.00 but i would be waiting for the Boxing Day sales to see if anyone drops the price of this monitor.

I thought you had the PG279Q model or did you have to send that one back?

Is there any noticeable difference between 144Hz to 165Hz or is 165Hz just an OC for the monitor.

I know this is kinda a question that i need to answer myself but since i play games & watch videos do you think it would be just better for me just to go back to a dual setup.

I know a few YouTubers who like multi monitor setup like You, Jayz & Wendell.

Ah okay, Thanks for that.

It seems to me that people seem to have less issues with the 27 inch monitors compare to the 34 inch ones in terms of RMA's.

Most RMA's are people that change their mind or dont understand that IPS monitors all have a certain level of back light bleed. Its just the way IPS works.

I do miss my multiples. But I hated the way it was laid out as a desktop with the three screens combined. Start button was all the way on the left, etc. A PITA.

I'd love another two of these 32" though lol. Would be mental Dirt 2 was amazing over three screens..Or was it Dirt 3?
