Thumbs down Making the mistake of buying from WAE+ :(

So...
i was unfortunate enough to come across WAE+ and their scamming ways. I thought i would buy myself some new headphones for my PC since my Current only have 1 working cup and a snapped clip.
After seeing a review on the corsair vengeance 2000's by LinusTechTips i wanted them sooo desperately. I found the cheapest place to be WAE+, they had positive reviews on their website. They're obviously made up and fake.
i waited 2 weeks for a delivery before i made an inquiry to their customer services. I then proceeded to ask for a refund, they seemed happy to do so.. saying it would be refunded in 7 days. Still a month later no joy.

In conclusion avoid WAE+ and all it's subsidiaries like the plague!!!!!

Does anybody have any advice on a credit card chargeback? as i really wanted them 2000's!

rant over.

Chargebacks can be done via your bank's support (Sometime via E-banking). They are normally quite helpful with this (In Denmark anyway).

Good luck with it, hope you do get the headphones sometime very soon!

How many emails have you sent them? It took me three weeks to get my case (they bought it in directly from enermax in germany despite ordering next day delivery and they claimed it was 'in stock'). I managed to get it by effectively threatening customer services that I'd get my bank involved and contact the office of fair trading. (This is crucial)Make sure you have copies of the a) invoice b) email conformation c) dispatch notice (if they sent you one). If so, contact your credit card company/bank and say that wae+ aren't refunding and ask them to look into it. You might want to check what your rights are with the office of fair trading etc.

For the record, wae+ normally say they'll refund you in 7 days but if you ask them again, it'll change to 30 days. Just keep pestering them and demand updates or if you live near Birmingham, go pay them a visit.

If they don't supply the goods to you in under 30 days they've broken the law.

If you bought on a proper credit card, just query it via them that's what you pay your interest for. If it's your bank you need a lot of proof and time and have to write some letters. But you need to call them and tell them the situation and that you need to query the transaction etc.

Usually the threat of incoming bank chargebacks will either a) give you an instant refund or b) make the item appear.

A friend of mine recently made the same mistake, but he got his money back. He opened a dispute through his bank with WAE+ and threatened them in an e-mail, which prompted WAE+ to refund his money.

They seem to be trading under the name of Extak.com (listing one of WAE's key members of staff as a director) and apparentley are still up to their old tricks, they even have their own Facebook supporters page
