Nvidia have confirmed they are working on SLI profiles to fix a load of issues....

About time SLI issues are addressed, will be interesting to find out what those differences are when it eventually happens

Why overkill ? Latest games with SLI on 1440p is up to 70-100 FPS (Ghost recon, mass effect), for PC enthusiasts is not too much when aiming to 165 Hz monitor. Testing in old games this spec is strange (not stupid). For some games you can disable secend card and get 1440p/144FPS.
On secend head, CPU is bottelneck. I7 6850 with stock clock is just slow in games. It's starting "work" with 4.2 GHz.
True pcmasterace have to once at whole live get SLI. In my case wiating for 44 PCIe x299 processor and then get secend Strix.
I'm interesting how GPU clocks looks at 82c.

In normal use they won't perform much different to the non reference 1080 Ti's except for the extra noise and heat from the blower cooler.

It's not the profiles that have been the issue. It's the support from the game itself. If a game is not AFR friendly then Nvidia can do whatever they wish, it won't help much.

They need to get in there with game devs. Like they used to, before they got wrapped up in self glory.

AMD are working with Bethesda for this very reason. Nvidia need to bag a couple of big devs unless they want to see support slip away.

Hopefully we are over this hill of turd games and devs may actually spend some time working to get their games running well with multiple GPUs but I won't hold my breath, nor remove two PCI covers in the mean time.

Ed. Nvidia also need to put their money where their mouth is. Where are the dual GPU cards? if they don't want to invest they will get out of it what they put in.

Any big American company is like Trump. Loud, brash, slag off the competition etc. Any dirty underhand tricks they can get away with.

If you needed to know more? just read the story of Edison and Tesla dude.
