Xbox Series X/S 1TB Storage Expansion listed for £159

That's over 50% of the Xbox Series S' MSRP.

Read more about Xbox Series X/S' storage expansion pricing.

So yeah.... Just about a third of the entire systems cost. Man these aren't going to be cheap any time soon either...

Price isn't that bad when you look at the price of similar PCIE Gen 4 M.2 SSDs in the 1TB capacity.

*Edit. The price is cheaper than an off the shelf one.

It may be Gen 4 but remember it's just a normal Gen 3 speed rated drive. So it's not using the latest controllers and therefore cheaper.

There's no point in getting it. You mine as well spend the barely extra money for a Series X.

It is gen 4 but it's last years Phison PS5019-E19T controller, max rated speeds are 3750 MB/s so only a nudge over what the fastest PCIe3 drives could hit

That's interesting Microsoft are doing, $35 x24 months for series x plus Game pass ultimate sounds cheaper than getting separately, don't know if it's Uk as well or the price
