Hello guys,
Did anyone get a -20 degrees on the CPU temps. My idle temp is now 23 (before they were around 43) and the room temperature is 27.
The CPU is 1700X, so there is that dumb 20 degree nonsense and the skim is on auto by default.
Any ideas, fixes?
Thanks!

Well it definitely won't be lower than your rooms ambient temp, Probably a bug and not being read properly.

Yeap, exactly. I could probably play with SKIM and make it look more realistic... but still I am hoping someone have a clue?

Try disabling SenseMI Skew to clear up the temp readings.

Thats just the offset thats been removed. AMD added 20c onto the 'X' cpu's
Id ignore the 'idle' temps though they have always been iffy

Sorry for now posting sooner. My Adata XPG 3000 memory was able to overclock to 3260 MHZ with full stability.
Cinebench Score went from 1666 to 1720
I am able to get a stable overclock of 4.0Ghz on the CPU, but the voltage required is higher than I would like so I kept it lower.

If anyone is adventurous and interested in testing a beta BIOS, Elmor from Asus just released one minutes ago. You can find the OCN post here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1624603/r...#post_26237954
As per Elmor:
Quote:
Got a BIOS for you guys to test. C6H BIOS 9920 SHA256 968558A4710C8F8BE67FED3B6ABDF35F29A1C6FDFDC157F648 95CA0E264826EE
* Improved DRAM cold boot, results in slightly longer POST time
* Fix for CPU Ratio stuck at 22x on some CPUs when using Vcore override/offset
* SenseMi Skew is now Disabled by default. If you want to return to previous behavior set SenseMi Skew = Enabled and Offset = 272.
* Added DRAM profiles for Samsung B-based DIMMs with tuned subtimings, including The Stilt's settings
* Maybe a few other extras, you tell me

FYI gents. I'll be flashing this one ASAP as soon as I get home!

I've got just the same issue on my Ryzen test rig. CPU temps are crazy, jumping from 27 to 45 on idle back and forth this causes CPU cooler - AIO Corsair H115i increase RPM and noise. Interesting is there any way to get stable and actual CPU temp?
