Update #5

just and update on some project forwarding..
updated the picture format due to complaints of i dont wanna click and enlarge so the pics
are as big as OC3D will allow. you'll notice different cooling solutions, motherboards and
graphic accents in this update.. enjoy!

here is the Noctua NH-C14 CPU cooler. this littel wonder is sorta under-rated. through my testing
and usage, was pretty on par until the higher overcolcks of 4.6 and higher. then the temps
were just getting to high as compared to the cooler master 212+. so if the side panel just won't
fit or you have to use a side-panel fan, this lil power cooler is a great choice.
so coolers i have used are:
Intel stock
Cooler Master 212+
Noctua NH-C14
Noctua NH-D14
(will post results when edit feature is repaired)

a lil exersise in vinyl wrapping. not bad.. kinda like the white fractal midi(idea), i believe i have
another scored to do some unorthadoxed 'sperimenting (more in a later post).

ahhh, the Corsair H100. this was a little suprise.
ive gone from air-cooling to H100 and now onto custom-water loop.
on my 2550k from a:
d14 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 80° avg core ambient 30.3° (@ 12-volt)
H50 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 88° avg core ambient 25.3° (12-volt stock fan)
H80 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 84° avg core ambient 29.9° (12-volt stock fan perf w/pull)
H80 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 82° avg core ambient 30.2° (12-volt stock fan perf w/push/pull)
H100 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 77° avg core ambient 29.7° (12-volt stock fan perf w/push)
H100 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 74° avg core ambient 30.2° (12-volt stock fan perf w/push/pull)
RASA RX240 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 68° avg core ambient 31.7° (push)
RASA RX240 @ 4.8 1.39vcore 65° avg core ambient 31.7° (push/pull)

(will update thread upon edit post repair is complete)

gawd, i love this wrap... accents everywhere.. here are some OE corsair H100 fans (push/pull)
with painted fan blades (absolutely no performance loss due to the paint)
changed the motherboard between different cooling swaps to test some issues... i believe i'll
stay on the EVGA SLI board. more stable over clock at lower voltage than the Gigabyte UD4/7
(more on that later)

aww, let the customization begin! looks sorta like Tom's review of the Midi with the air mount kit
and the 240 rad in roof. did it by accident! still got the Noctua NT-H1 paste (i'm so embarassed)

monster RAM/MOSFET clearances.. for a mid-tower factor this case has got my vote on
"you can do anything with this case" ticks all the boxes except the windowed-side panel
availability at this time! (uuummmmm Fractal Design)

got your twin BGears 140mm fans for 280 radiator mod in the future. also trimmed in white fan
blade paint. these are awesome @ 7-volt for a case fan and $11 each, but a 3-pin only.

sexy vinyl wrap of some water-cooling components.. you got your GTX Xtreme 240 radiator,
XSPC RASA CPU block, Koolance COV-RP450 D5 block with 80mm reservoir with some window
trimming in force...

hello there.. standing alone i see.. i got this cool spot for you....

up close and personal with our friends the Noctua NF-P12 fans and Black Ice GTZ Xtreme 240 radiator.
attaching screws are the Corsair screws from the Corsair Carbide accessory kit:
CC-8930026 12 pieces per kit @ $5.00 and you get some other neatos to recoup the cost.

hello XSPC RASA CPU block.... your fiber is showing...

installed into the chassis with Koolance extenders and Bitspower 1/2" barb fittings. quite a
snug fit i'd say....

overall shot of the system before tube-up..

square shot of the layout. needs more work!

these Swiftech Helix 120mm fans are the easy and accessable replacement for the AP/GT-15
fans. better price by far and white fan not gray! heres we are on the UD4 board (not a fan of the UD)
i got more pictures will update later...

thanks for watching and for now, this is airdeano “Happy motoring and I’m outta here…”

That white front looks really good, and the scheme overall. A black phanteks ph-tc14pe would look sick in it! =)

yeah, i got a converted black and white D14 and TC14 white.
word of caution, painting Noctua fans can make them out-of-balance causing a
vibration. prolly next time, ill dye the blade assembly black and paint the housing white.

Changing the color would be a mistake in my opinion. I love the turbine feel they give in the front there with the black.white contrast. I love the color choice and the carbon fiber details, the rad there looks awsome with that fiber on it. The front of the case looks sick with that aluminium feel... I'd say that this is one of the most nicest builds I have seen lately. Good luck!
