The cell shaded game XIII is free for the next 40'ish hours on GOG, add it to your account and keep it.

Some more people swapping the pads and paste out on their 3000 series Founders Edition cards and seeing pretty big temp drops, This seems to be a trend now.

I recently without knowing this stuff was a thing lately redid my 1080 stock paste and while my temps are the same the fan speed is about 150-300 rpm lower than before depending on the game. Quite impressive. All while adding an extra few 12mhz in clock speed thanks to GPU boost. That should definitely get more 30 more fps lol

I used mx-4 paste if anyone is curious. I did not redo the thermal pads although I feel like I should now after seeing everyone's posts about it. Prolong the life of the card in a time where obtaining one is impossible and expensive.

Yep, Using newer TIM and pads seems to be a good idea if you are the temp conscious type and want to quieten your card down a tiny bit, I actually just ordered myself some Thermal Grizzly pads for the Lightning Z I have and an extra tube of MX-5, I'm not expecting miracles but definitely lower temps

Preventative maintenance is a good policy in these times. Just don't know what size pads I would need. I am to lazy to do the research even though it's probably 10 minutes of time

I re-pasted my old reliable Radeon VII with Kingpin KPX, and used some extra thermal pads on the back plate too. Then I did something super silly with 3mm of Fujipoly and a 20mm heatsink, ghetto A.F., LOL!

At these clocks, it's running cool as a cucumber, but that's more down to the Barrow GPU block than the ghetto modding. But I think that actually dropped the core by a small margin, maybe 2-3C.

Along with the price gouging that retailers are doing like OCUK and scan, The issue with scalping going on, Asus are about to raise the prices of their cards even higher.
