All RTX 3090 Models/Prices at UK Retailers - Are retailers hiking up prices?

I know OCUK keep putting prices up slowly but surely on the 3080's, Sole reason I will not buy GPU's from them anymore.

As much crud as OCUK gets for doing that, most other retailers are doing the same. I just checked a lot of RTX 3080 models and Box uk has higher prices for all of them.

It's a sellers market ATM, and buyers are willing to pay the extra money. It's market forces at work, plain and simple.

More like PC Gamer stupidity.

No one has any self control or patience these days.

Me? I'm just letting it all wash over me, laughing at the idiots being taken for a ride.

Maybe if I fancy one, I'll take a mosey on over to the Nvidia store next year in Feb/Mar time and pick a card up at my leisure with none of this pre-order wait time nonsense or any of the self induced stress and anxiety that new GPU launches seem to induce in people :D

In addition, why would anyone order now? Too late to have a reasonable delivery or launch prices, too early for supply to arrive and drive prices back to a reasonable level.
To make it as polarising as possible, the price hike could be called an idiot tax.

I'm quite happy rocking my 1080Ti Mk2 (FE 2080 to your average layman) on a 1440p 144Hz panel for now, if I choose to unburden my bank account it will be around March/April after the dust has settled and the AMD offerings have safely landed.

I'll then make an informed decision based apon my own needs rather than ego, sorry is that to much of a common sense approach? :D ;)

No, because you might end up spending money on {PRODUCT}.

I ordered a 3080 on launch day at MSRP. Looks like delivery will be around 15/10.

Are prices likely to go back down on increase?

They will go up. Norway etailers are reporting a restock date of... January 2021 :O

Oh wow! At least you have an indicated year lol : as with every launch we don't get a single card until much later so everything is still on pre-order without a time indication.

I think it is crazy that anyone would pay over the odds on any of the non reference 3080 and 3090 cards available ATM.

Far better to wait a few months and pick up a better cooled higher clocked card at a reasonable price.

I don't mind spending money on expensive cards like the Kingpin 3090 if it any good but that is a different story to having to pay over the top on normal cards.

If I needed to buy a GPU, I wouldn't buy it from OCUK.

Normally I go to Scan for everything, but sometimes I will use Aria or Amazon.

Aria right now are cheaper for the Asus Strix 3090 by around £50 compared to OCUK.

Scan don't have any prices on the 3090's.

Roll on the end of next month so we can see what AMD offer.

I wouldn't buy anything off them, full stop.

bunch of rip-off shysters with 'Gibbo' and his 'the £/$ exchange rate has gone down in the last half an hour so I'll have to put up the prices' BS, that he likes to use, in order to justify his blatant price gouging antics.

I worked it out earlier this year that over the last 6yrs or so, I've spent close to £6K on my PC setups and OcUK haven't seen a penny of it...:)
