The biggest issue I see with this is the split game library in the context of Googles long history of abandoning projects, especially when a key competitor (Microsoft) already has crossbuy/shared library between Xbox One/PC and will presumably extend this to xCloud. I'd be willing to pay for a service that allowed me to play games like Horizon 4 on my smartphone or laptop or something.

Sounds like the sub is only for 4k 60. 1080p 60 is "free".

Stadia will be available as a free service sometime in 2020, allowing gamers to buy Stadia games with a 1080p 60FPS resolution/framerate limit.
So the streaming service will be free, but I have to buy the game from Google's Stadia storefront? I haven't invested much time into looking up the details of Stadia, so pardon, if this was already discussed.
So for 4K60 people need the Pro subscription. Were there any news about 1080p144 or something along the lines?

While like tgrech I'm split on whether Google will abandon this like they've done with a lot of projects in the past. I can see how it could take off since it doesn't require a console. Just a controller which can be used with a lot of different streaming devices.

A lot of people who move around a lot will like this since they don't need to lug a console with them, just a controller which is a lot smaller, lighter, and cheaper. Then beyond that, they just need access to a device that can stream everything, which these days isn't hard to come by.

The only thing that I'm concerned with is the longevity of the platform itself, since it's all digital we don't 'own' the games so when the platform shuts down, that's it.

They did make a bold statement however, that it will be more responsive and have less latency than an actual console. Big shoes to fill now!
