i feel they just released this crap because they could, and because they want even more of your moneys. adding in a diffrent onboard vga card that almost no one uses and upping the out of the box core clock doesnt = a better product in my eyes.

IMO it's not Intel fault that AMD can't release their stuff as quick as Intel can.

$500 AUD so for once we're not getting completely ripped off compared to the rest of the world. Still not enough to warrant an upgrade from my 3770k (which was round $350 iirc) but if I was in the market for a new rig the i5 looks pretty spot on for price v performance. Can't wait to see how Ryzen stacks up against it.

Another great review Tom. Well i think this generation is not worth upgrading to from few recent ones. Yea it is nice to have new processors often, but this feels like rebranding to me. High core speeds will benefit some apps, and games, but nothing ground braking. If you didn't upgrade for a while, yea this is a good buy, otherwise chill out, and w8 new architecture. Also this is Intel covering their blue butts just case AMD releases some high clock CPUs. This way they have 5GHz +, and they are safe.
