Yeah seriously stop buying these chairs. They're junk.

it is absolute trash and prettymuch all of those chairs are just badly made with pathetic cheap materials and being sold for a hefty premium, i wonder why quality control companies or organisations haven't shut these down yet.

Because they're all made in China, that's why.

Even the nobles are crap. They just look nicer.

Some of you guys are half my age but just take it from me when you hit your 40s you'll regret sitting badly. By then it's too late.

Good chairs are uncomfortable at first. They all are. Why? Because they force you out of bad habits.

Not having the "go and sit in them" rubbish either. I've had three very high end chairs now and they have all been excellent. If they're uncomfortable you're sitting incorrectly.

Remember, these chairs are made by experts who seek advice from medical experts. Not a gamer who plays Fortnite.

Just make sure the chair fits. That part is easy, and decent chair maker worth their salts will have paid for research and will know.

Im 38 and had been noticing my back is getting worse, so in a way it is excellent timing that this breaks and i look for a decent one, i had tried a few but fell in the racing thing again because that what i was used to anyway, but not this time. i will go out, test a few chairs and pick one that i like most.

I'm in the club too, I need a good chair. My DXracer chinesium chair has already let go, and I had to swap the base from an even cheaper chair onto it, otherwise I'd be tilting side-to-side all the time. I need a good Herman Miller at some point, before this thing dies completely.

Herman Miller and Secret Labs so far seem to be the best recommendations in this thread. I would just suggest everyone check them out.

SecretLabs is having a sale right now as well as a smaller sale for UK.

All of those racing chairs are the same. It doesn't matter how well they may be made (though SL are made in Philippines and Malaysia) it's the fact they are not putting people into a good posture.

Even if Ferrari made chairs like that they would still be no good for your back. Sure, younger people may get away with it for years (chit, I used to sit on a computer box for hours on end at my old job) but as you get older you will pay for it.

So I reiterate, if you are young and it doesn't cause you harm now then sure, go for it. I've just looked them up and they have no lumbar, no posture and basically sit you on a flat bottom with a flat back. The spine is naturally curved, not straight. Some try and get around this by sticking a dumb cushion on there as part of the package, but the area directly above it is also flat.

It's just really not good for you.

As much as I know that there are better chairs available, I've been rocking my Nitro Concepts E200 since mid-2016, and it has been going strong ever since. Every working day sat on that chair and no issues.

Now that chair has gone through some hard-wearing. The only thing is that the chair can squeak now.

Perhaps I need to get a better chair, but that will have to wait until I can justify spending the money. You can be sure that I will spend my money wisely when I do get a new chair. My chairs get heavy use.

SL is not a "racing chair".

Well put simple... Racing chairs are meant for optimum racing performance for a short space of time. They arent designed for good posture.

Herman Miller would never be an option for me even second hand. So.. I actually opted for the Noble Epic. Now while you all recognise this as a racing chair, which.. it kinda is. Personally its actually helped my posture but probably for 2 reasons

1. I dont spend all day at my PC so my back doesnt sink like the normal gamer
2. Our office chairs are worse than gaming chairs. Hence why most of us stand. So the noble helps correct potential lordosis. I always have my seat plate angled up 10 degress and back seat almost upright. (helps with the digestive system too )
