I ain't gonna lie Linus knows his stuff. Like really knows his stuff, most notably the server stuff which I do love as that's right up my alley. I don't like that he's a capitalist whore. This whole store thing is a joke. $50 for three pairs of boxer shorts? Tommy Hilfiger are cheaper than that, ffs.

I'm not subbed to any other tech channels apart from Craft Computing, which again is right up my alley (not the alcohol, hit the enterprise stuff and hacking GPUs to make game streaming servers etc).

I like me some pro level stuff. It's what I used to do. It's more complex and thus with that can deliver huge rewards.

Ain't gonna lie that smells severely of sour grapes to me.

So who do they watch? Little shills who don't tell the whole story.

I've had run ins with Tom on the forum long ago, but couldn't and wouldn't ever complain about his content.

Maybe that's it though. Maybe Tom was too honest to make the big bucks. Well you know what? Fair play to him for not selling himself out. Like the little whores on YT with their s"*tbait and begging for you to like and sub /pukes.

I like Steve's attitude and honesty, but he's messy and would drive me insane. I still wouldn't sub to him though.

Yeah I doubt he'd be high on their list either.

That is pretty harsh. For those taking the risk to base their entire income on YT they need you to sub, like etc since that is how YT will help you monetise your content. As lack luster as the content maybe it does take hours of work to produce what some of them come out with and even TTL can agree with that. We are asked to subscribe to TTL also, as well as remove ad blockers on his site. Which I do because OC3D deserves the recognition.

It's really amazing how cultural differences can factor in to success. Maybe thats why US aren't so keen on TTL videos. I do see sometimes British reviewers "waffle talk" much more. E.g. Leo at kitguru.

But Alien I do want to say one thing. Some of your posts.. I outright ignore. Since it is just too much foul language. And the moment I see that in your posts I instantly switch off or skip it entirely. I'm not being thin skinned, it's just how I was raised and I find it unnecessary to use words like "whore" or "s**tbait". On a forum that could have any age reading it. We still have valid agreements and debates in the end. I just find it hard to ignore this kind of content.

But I digress... Agree on Steve. Great content, honest and to the point but.. little all over the place sometimes.

You've not understood my post is all.

I was referring to people like those two kids who said they were dying to get views and subs.

I don't mind being politely asked dude. Like once per video. It's the begging, lying and clickbait I can't stand.

As for me becoming a bit animated? Dang, don't be so easily upset. Not all of us have perfect lives dude. Sometimes we need to vent.

Watch that and you will see what I mean.

Tom's passion for overclocking gave me the motivation to do it to, plus I needed the extra processing power. He was about the only one who would tell people to go in steps and not just input settings and be lazy as you'll learn more from it. Also the silicon lottery
