Question Asus STRIX X99 GAMING XEON 22C COMPATIBILITY

Hello Girls and Guys!

I'm looking for people who've had experience with using this motherboard with a 22c CPU (the highest core CPU compatible with this board: Intel Xeon E5-2699-v4
I want to know if engineering samples work with this board, and if anyone actually tried them and his board managed to boot and work correctly.
I'll appreciate any help. I'm considering buying said CPU from Ebay: Intel Xeon E5-2699-v4 and wouldn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a CPU I am not sure will work.
Also, Can this CPU work with standard (non-ECC) RAM? I'm currently using Crucial SportsLT DDR4 2400MHz RAM on the board which works fine with my i7-6850k currently installed.
Thanks in advance!
