Fractal: Deadpool

Fractal DeadPool

Teaser Video

Welcome to project: Deadpool

This project is based on the ever famous deadpool comic character above.

First of all, Huge thanks to fractal Design and TTL for selecting me as 1 of your 5 modders for the competition.

And a huge thanks to for jumping in the boat and sending me out some awesome Blitz series RAM for the build.

I'm not good with renders so don't blame me when it doesn't turn out exactly like the render. I'll get some done this weekend.
Here are the renders of what it will look similar too, no guarantee's it'll turn out identical to these

So, let's take a look at what were working with

Fractal Define S - Case

**What's going to happen to the case**
First thing is first, i've ordered some red and black leather.
This will be used to cover the entier case (alike deadpools suit)
Strange that i'm using leather huh ? :P
two slits will be cut out of the top back of the case, and two samurai swords placed through them as if the case is a sword holder
Inside the case, there will be a custom made power supply cover made in jet black, with the word "FRACTAL" cut out and then the same word in red placed in.
This will be backlit so the name fractal glows

Fractal also sent out their Kelvin S24 Cooler

**What's going to happen to the cooler**
First of all the block will be re-sprayed a nice deep red and then the radiator matching
i was going to change the tubing, but no need to ruin the cooler.

Fractal also included 2 pretty nice 120mm VENTURI fans

**I'll repray these to match the build**

All together now

Finally, here's a run down on components. (Pictures will follow once i've decided)

Confirmed parts
Avexir Core DDR4 Red RAM
Dark power pro 11 1000w 80+ Platinum
i7 6700k
red/black braided cables

ASUS ROG VIII Hero
ASUS Strix 980Ti
Corsair SP red fans

Unconfirmed parts

i want to use LED lit fans for this build, fractal don't make them, so i'm forced to go with another company for them
Here's a quick look at machine with the products

Yes there is cardboard holding up that Strix 980Ti.. Thing is far too tail heavy.
One of thing i always add to my case mods is this little fan extension box, it's a serious life saver.

Soo. that's where i'm at so far
Will update as things progress.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Progress day #2
Quite a bit has changed here's a quick rundown
1. Motherboard tray has been wrapped in red vinyl
2. Fans changed over to red LED fans.
3. PCIE Slot covers changed over to red.
4. SSD Mounted to the back tray
5. White LED's fitted to bring out the red

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update: Changed out the corsair fans.
now using Fractal Venturi HP fans
Re-sprayed red

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Updates

Front panel:

Started by cutting the correct size sheet of 3mm Acrylic

Drilling holes to screw the facia onto the case

Drilled out the rivets on the top and bottom of the case

Drilled out the holes for the fan and radiator.

Fan deadpool's for the centre of the fans

Deadpool thin black for the window and 1 large deadpool dome for the front of the case.

This is where i'm at tonight 01/11/15

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update
Will get some HD photo's this weekend. Here's a look at DeadPool tonight.

Update, Avexir Blitz RAM arrived for the Build.
Here's some Shots of the RAM.

So it's now the 7th of December (Dead line for this contest)
Here is the final shots of Fractal: DeadPool

You really should!
I honestly don't know why i never bought this case, ended up with the phanteks pro M, the Define S craps all over the Pro M in so many ways.
The only thing that could make it a better case is a power supply cover/Shroud One of the first thing i'm making for this case

I dont think mixing the fans really works with this (or any build for that matter)
