Wait, is this for the laptop or your Desktop? Is it connected to a Marvell or Intel controller?

If its connected connected to the Intel, just RMA it, as it would seem like a problem with the drive and there were no reported issues with its firmware.

its in a desktop all my stuff has been sent off for testing and all is working as it should but the ssd it lost the master boot about a week after i got it and it lost it today during testing so that's pre storm and post storm. Im wondering if the drive was making the popping noises I heard and the IT guy that's looking at my system thinks the drive may have just folded on him but he's about to put it into another system just to be sure
I just looked up when I bought it 16-3-15 and it's on my new 1200axi

certainly seems as though there is a problem with the drive, either way Corsairs warranty is pretty decent, so you should be sorted in no time.

Just out of curiosity, was the drive left without power for a relatively long time?

The drive was left without power for 3-4 weeks but the drive was going for a few days locked up then lost the MBR

What difference does this make, if the drive were without power for a longer period of time?...

Must say im more than just a little bit upset and i hate to say it but i think Corsair's QC is starting to drop after problems with my 780t and now a drive folding after a month and it's costing me for returns im also starting to wonder if its worth buying online for goods altogether. i just want to buy something that isn't breaking all the time just had so much bad luck it's doing my head in

Join the club mate, this is the downsidw with technology... you might encountered faulty parts, that's what RMA's/returns and warranty is for
It's a bitch and more work than needed really, yes... but atleast you're not completely ed in that aspect... hopefully
