H100i GTX - Faulty Pump?

Finally got my hands on this after waiting almost a month after ordering for it to re-stock only to be pretty disappointed.

Kit itself looks the part but unfortunately the pump from the get go has been making an awful lot of noise , what I can only describe as an electric shaver type buzz.

Edit: My own vid showing what I get on Quiet mode.

Pretty annoying considering idle temps are 25°c on my 4790k, so it's plodding along doing it's job nicely, just incredibly loudly.

Any possible tips or solutions or should I just RMA the fella asap.

Edit: Corsair forum thread with guys experiencing similar problem.

Have you got it hooked up to the link software?

If you have try setting the pump to quiet mode - should solve it

Yup, all hooked up to Link.

Been on Quiet mode the whole time, sitting at 1700 RPM or so. Performance mode can be heard from another room almost.

I know some h100 and h100i had an issue where the pump was getting too much voltage and making horrid noises, that was generally fixed by adding a small resistor to power cable. But probably better to RMA it instead of messing around with it

Thanks for assisting Tom.

@Ryan - Thanks for bringing this up to our attention right away.. it gives us a head start to investigate and find out what's causing the noise. Both our dev team and validation team are already aware of this unusual behavior, we'll provide an update once we have a more definitive diagnosis.

Great thanks Grey , would be lovely if it was a simple fix, as like I said it's cooling away nicely, just dont wanna hear it through my headphones!

If it helps at all , it's running on a Maximus VII Hero with Windows 7.

No problem at all. That's what I am hoping as well, a simple fix..no worries though, we are on top of this already and working on finding out the root cause. Fwiw, I have the H80i GT myself and I don't have this pump noise, so there is a chance that this is just an isolated case.
