hey jimma47,
Sorry but there's no work around it. You need to have the Corsair Link Commander to connect your H100 so that it'll get recognized in Corsair Link.

Hey no worries thanks for getting back to me.
I suspected as much (being an older cooler) but glad to know I hadn't missed anything obvious in trying it out.

Maybe time for an upgrade but it still works so well it's hard to justify!

Cheers

No problem at all

I agree, if its still running strong in your system, then there's no need to replace it.

If you need anything from us, feel free to let me know.

Nice forum
Is there a difference using Corsair Link with a Commander Mini versus USB header for my H115i? I have a HX850i as well also on USB header. Even tho the fan header for watercoolers is used on the motherboard it is read only am I right?
Thanks, Martin

Welcome!

In terms of functionality, there's no real difference between using a Commander Mini with your cooler and without it. It's just more practical to have the Commander Mini if you have Link LED strips and fans that you'd like to control via Corsair link. Also, having a Commander Mini, you can connect all your Corsair Link compatible hardware (Cooler and PSU) to the Commander mini and use only 1 USB header on your MB. That will free up other headers for other hardware that utilizes that port.
