HDMI to DVI-D Cable for 120Hz?

Hi so im looking to buy the asus 144hz 27 inch monitor, My only issue is that I use an Aver Media Live Gamer HD capture card for recording gameplay which uses hdmi in and out. I know that HDMI does not support 120hz, would I need to buy something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/DVI-D-female...7373498&sr=8-7 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Version-15-8...7373498&sr=8-9 to make the 144hz operational? Thanks
