Question Normal for 980 windforce ?

I just done a benchmark on my 980 gtx windforce and i honestly thought it was underwhelming when my 970 scored not much less is this normal for a 980 ?

It all comes down to the silicon lottery either you got a great 970 or a poor 980 just the way it goes sometimes

I honestly thought the 980 would soar ahead of my 970 windforce quite disappointing though . Appreciate the feedback though

The 980 was never that much more powerful in comparison to the 970, which is why the 970 was and still is quite decent value for money.

Though I do recall the the gigabyte one uses a binning process, well stuff happens...

Yeah my benchmark on the 980 really disappointed me i thought it would be a huge margin better than my 970 and it really wasnt .

You upgraded from a 970 to a 980? JFC, give me a pint of whatever it was that Nvidia make that you drank.

Didn't the "Pretty much as fast as a 980" in pretty much every 970 review not tell you something?
