Modder Turns Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Into FPS

With the hot breath of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain in our necks, Konami released Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes as a warm-up a little while ago. The game turned out to be quite good, if a bit short, and was praised by the press for its great stealth gameplay. Now, imagine if you could take that gameplay, and make it first-person. That is exactly what a modder by the name of 'Pao' did, just a month after the PC-version of the game was released. He took Ground Zeroes, and turned it into a Stealth-based First-Person Shooter.

While the mod isn't without any issues (Objects may vanish when you get nearby, and Snake may turn invisible, while remaining detectable by enemies), and not all of the animations work, it seems to have worked out quite well. You can check out the mod in the video down here, or if you're feeling adventurous, you can download it here. Please do keep in mind that you'll have to fiddle around with the game files, so backing up your game folder may be a good idea. Try it at your own risk.

What do you think, does Pao have a killer mod or a stinker on his or her hands?
