Its not that I'm a fanboy.. I just can't stand the way Nvidia runs.. so the only option for me is AMD and they are better than what most people think. If Intel were amazing and was competing I'd buy their stuff instead

Hopefully it doesn't have coil whine. Though the person I bought it from says it's a replacement(still new unit) he got after a recall because of the pump. So it shouldn't have any

Wouldn't that be inferior in most situations with less vram. I know through some BS that I can't rightly comprehend we are supposed to believe Fury's HBM is equivalent to more than 4GB of GDDR5 surely it isn't close to 8GB though.

JR
HBM so far at 4k with many games hasn't shown a limitation. Think I read that with such a wide bus open at one time and clever algorithms and etc to keep everything from sitting in the memory pool, it effectively makes it about 6GB worth of memory.

I've read in a few places *I'll link the articles when I find them* that 4GB of HBM is roughly equivalent to 2-3 times that in GDDR5 terms.

So 1GB HBM = 3GB GDDR5 etc etc...

Well, it's not "Some BS", Richard Huddy mentioned something along the lines of being the equivalent to 2-3 times that of GDDR5, There are other articles around, I'll find them later.
