tbh, i thought you all hated me

but that'll do

its my aim over this holiday to build what was my dream rig, unless advised so strongly otherwise that its a bad idea...

dream rig consists of:

AMD Athlon 64 4800+ 939

DFI Lanparty Nforce 4 SLI-DR

3 Gb G-Skill DDR400 (dual chanel (2x1gb, 2x512mb))

ATi Radeon X1900XTX (preforably saphire)

PCP&C 750W ...

NEC 3550 DVDRW drive

2x WD Raptor 36 gig in raid

2x 500Gb Hitachi Deskstars in raid

Lian Li PC-75Bk

thats if any of that is even still available

Ionicle - is that a joke?

You could get an Athlon II x4, decent motherboard, and 4gb of DDR3 for the same price that you'll have to hunt those old parts for!

And the vid card - a 5770 or even 9800GT would spank it back to 2007 in fairness, and you can get those fairly cheap.

nope, not a joke, after that, i want a athlon 64 4000+ system, single core, cos i had one origonally, but had to sell it, it cost me 2 grand when it was new

i like that generation of AMD processors, and intend to stick with em for aslong as it is viable
