Old Office PC + New Graphics Card?

I've got a mate who's looking at getting into PC gaming. He would like to play The Witcher series. I can price him up a brand new rig, but he's on a pretty tight budget of around £280. Would it be worth trying to get an old office PC and throwing something like an RX570 into it? If so where are the best places to get old office machines? Somewhere like eBay seems obvious, but maybe you guys know some better places?

Thanks in advance.

No worries man.

The secret is "Xeon workstation"

They are plentiful and cheap and most are "just add gpu"

I believe that one may even take a 6 core.

You get great deals on ex business stuff. ECC ram costs peanuts too.

Yeah sometimes you often older dual xeon rack servers going for <£100, the 2U ones are usually cheapest but can sometimes leave you limited to single slot 75W GPUs, though that's not actually that bad nowadays, especially when the whole system can cost less than the GPU. Stuff like this and up: Link (You can usually find desktop builds for a little more too)
