Looks at my standard lego models on the other side of the room... Maybe someday I will have awesome high-detail versions.

Snowspeeder is next on my list. Falcon's a bit too much, I'd love one for prosperity, and I'm hoping the price doesn't go bananas once they go out of print like the last ones did, mostly because it's a bit more available this time (sorta). but yeah, bit torn. Have other priorities.

I might pick one up, but that is *alot* of money... it's difficult to swing it after getting the 2 big kits in the last couple years. (and I have a lot of shapeways to buy for them too)

As much as I think its awesome. It seems just too big of an object to have on display for me. I would need an exceptional room to compensate.

Ordered myself the X-Wing and Falcon from the Metal Earth series to add to my miniature collection of ships.

Honestly, I don't regret the purchase one single bit. It is utterly, utterly stunning!

Having said that I do wish I'd waited to have a more suitable place to display as I seriously under-estimated the size!!!

I've seen a few of these now. Pretty mind bending stuff really ! IDK if I would have the patience required. Building my Schumacher Cougar was hard enough (the diff was atrociously fiddly) so this would be a bit overwhelming

Took around 30hrs over 4 days. Loved every moment of it.

You start by building a skeleton then adding it's internals then the externals and the detail is incredible!

Yeah I would imagine it is very similar to building an RC car tbh. Mine took me about 15 hours, but I paced myself as I needed to do it under a lamp so I could see what I was doing. Some of the parts are just weeny. I have a 70s Lambo Countach RC car but I only got about 70% through before I realised I did not want it red with chrome rims, but met brown with gold rims. Which of course meant over £30 in Tamiya spray paints so it's not finished

I used to adore Lego though. My cousin had a huge old box of it. The teknik? something like that. It used to have motors and gears, so we would build spinning thrill rides with it with cars that swung out as it got up to speed. Soooo many happy hours playing with that as a kid.

Yeah Lego Technics is awesome, I built the Porsche at christmas, was a corker of a build. Still got the big rotary digger thing to build, just haven't had the time.

Call me old fashioned but I loved Meccano. Mainly because when I was young Lego Technic was so overpriced... and limited to one design where as the Meccano packs with expansions had multiple designs you could create.

I don't see meccano anymore. Perhaps it died out. But I do see Lego Technic is alot more affordable to 15 years ago.
