No, that's what happens when you provide the best service. You become the de-facto go-to search engine. Why do people google stuff instead of "bing'ing" it. Because you get better results, faster.

Google isn't a monopoly in the traditional sense, they've just become the defacto because ultimately they're the best service.

That's just what happens when something becomes the defacto service. Just like we say Hoover up, Hoover is a brand, what you're doing is using a vacuum cleaner.

Want to find something on the net, google it, why? Because chances are you'll get what you're looking for faster than ANY other service.

Remember how the go-to social network was MySpace? And how that moved almost overnight to Facebook? The "better" service won. I'd love to see something take Facebook's crown but it's just TOO big, it's the Defacto.
